New York City Ballet, 2011 - July 4th thru July 17th
Attend one or two ballet performances in the magical setting of the Saraoga Performing Arts Center. Take advantage of attractive midweek pricing or the weekend excitement of the famous Saratoga Springs spa city.

2011 promises to be an exciting season for the New York City Ballet at Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The combination of new ballets, old favorites and revivals provides a unique mix of repertoire. A centerpiece of the season is the revival of Peter Martins' Magic Flute with new costumes and new scenery. Well loved ballets choreographed by Balanchine and Robbins will delight audiences. Balanchine's "black and white ballets" which place the emphasis on movement rather than storytelling feature Agon, Apollo and Square Dance. Robbins will be showcased with I'm Old-Fashioned his tribute to Fred Astair and Circus Polka - set in a circus ring. A new feature this season is pre-performance discussion and orchestral demonstrations led by Peter Martins, New York City Ballet Director and Faycal Karoui, the company's orchestra conductor.

Opera Saratoga - June 29 thru July 10, 2011

Opera Saratoga celebrates its 50th Anniversary Season in the Little Theatre at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center with Die Fledermaus and Cosi fan Tutte. These operas were presented in the company's first season. Both of these operas are delightful comedies that focus on the humorous aspects of love and mistaken identity. The beautiful waltzes of Srauss' Die Fledermaus and sublime music of Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte have been delighting audiences and will surely delight you with the Opera Saratoga performances.
